Duane Murdoch

Duane Murdoch was born and raised in South Central Nebraska. He attended both R-7, near Holdrege, & Carter country school, and graduated from Oxford High School. He received his BA degree at Sioux Falls College, (now University of Sioux Falls) in Sioux Falls, S. Dakota; where he later became a Trustee for several years. After college, Duane returned to the family farm in Harlan Co., to farm along with his brother Marlin. Duane also began a career in auctioneering when he became a partner in Mccann & Murdoch Auctioneers which lasted for over 30 years. During that same time Duane acquired his real estate license and was an agent with Illingworth & Sons Realty of Holdrege, NE, until he became a Broker in 1992, and established Valley Real Estate of Oxford, Nebraska.

Duane is married to his wife Cheryl, who taught in the Bertrand and Mascot school systems, and retired recently from the Oxford Baptist preschool. Duane and Cheryl have 3 children, Jarod, Josh, and Jessica, all married; and 4 grandchildren. Duane has been involved in the area communities throughout the years by helping with benefit auctions, 4-H and school projects, and church offices. Duane's extensive years have provided hundreds of sales by private sale and auction in farm and ranch land, residential, and commercial real estate. He looks forward to partnering with Clear View Realty, as an associate, to bring his years of experience to the partnership and all clients.
